Is My Novel a Paranormal or Not?

In a few reviews of Scent of Murder, I’ve been startled to see that some reviewers have called my mystery novel a “paranormal” book. Probably because one of the characters is a spirit guide. Also my main character has a few prophetic (or otherwise) dreams. Who doesn’t dream? What’s really paranormal here is how I was contacted to write this series. But I’ll save this for another post. Anyway, I’d love to hear your opinions. Have I written a paranormal novel or not? The author is the last to know.
