Three Fantastic Carrier Oils
Oops! I realize I previously wrote about bitter almond oil, which is a perfume essential oil, not a carrier oil. So today, I’'ll review Sweet Almond, Apricot Kernel, and Avocado.
Sweet almond is a basic light massage oil used to beautify the skin since Roman times or before. Be aware, though, that it takes a lot of water to grow an almond tree, and here the trees are grown in semi-arid to arid California.
Apricot Kernel oil is a general, skin conditioner, and it’s edible, too. Avocado oil nourishes and restores the skin. Usually, I add that everybody should eat plenty of avocados, but with the recent tariffs on avocados from Mexico, I’m assuming that the price will rise considerably in the near future.
