What Have I Written, Anyway?

So interesting that my series has been categorized as a cozy mystery. However, I recently learned that really, I’m what’s called an “adjacent cozy.” Book 1 is a traditional murder mystery set in an university, Book 2 deals with rape, but also murder without rape at a university. Book 3 has murder, but in an international setting (the book where Issy learns about her roots). Murder and sleuthing, but no actual violence detailed. Some swearing (especially from the parakeet!), but no really nasty language. Although there’s a puzzle to solve, themes like family, heritage, women’s power, predominate. You know, gang, I’d simply call the series traditional hybrid mystery. To heck with everything else!
